Solo Roadtrip: Bournemouth on fILM
After feeling trapped in stagnation at university, wanderlust overcame me and I very spontaneously booked an AirBnB down on the English coast. Three days later, Iād packed and was on the motorway. It took me three-and-a-half hours until I finally arrived at Bournemouth. My initial plan was to have a relaxing getaway and so I spent the first day lulling around the neighbourhood. But I have come to realise that I am restless when there is an opportunity to explore; the unsatisfaction from Day 1 got me going. I walked for hours along the beach, went to the cinema alone and even ice-skated around and around with no company at all. Here, is a collection of dream-like photos from my short trip full of muggy weather, magic gardens, cat cafes and the sparkle of Christmas lights. What is it about the beach in the cold that is so enticing? December 2021. Shot on: Mamiya NC1000S.
